" I was filled with both excitment and terror when I first opened the Tilda Club pack. I have never before attempted turn-point applique before!

I opened the great intruction pack by Jemima Flendt and realised she had allowed for all skill levels which was a relief. I took out my stash of calico and my trused heat and bond and started to prepare my pieces for the cushion front. It didn't take long before I had it all laid out. Picking a very neutral stitch I set to sewing around them with my very basic Brother sewing machine. Zig zag, zig, zag...and on I went! Pretty soon I had my design ready to contruct into my cushion.Yippee, now I get to try out the fusible double sided batting from Sew Easy....and it was true to its name. After a basic cross and outline quilt I went back to my pattern to assemble it all together.

It is always suprising how little fabric you need for binding and I found I had left overs from the FQs supplied. A quiet night in front of the tv with some handing stitching of binding (the only hand stitching I do!) and then..ta da! A beautiful Tilda Cushion to match the sofa
